Third Coast Distributing was founded in 2013 and is part of a global service organization engaged in the distribution of automotive and industrial replacement parts. Doing business as NAPA Auto Parts, TCD serves thousands of customers from an independent network of 25 locations in 21 cities across South and Central Texas.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will ensure that the accounts payable process is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Support the operations with accurate and meaningful information. Explore ways to make the business more profitable and efficient. This position reports to the Business Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of accounts payable.
- Ensure all bills are processed and paid in a timely manner.
- Maintain credit cards, reconcile credit card receipts and credit card statements from stores.
- Update and review daily cash forecast.
- Manage company vehicle registrations, insurance and fleet listing.
- Maintain compliance with required state records.
- Audit store cash journal reports daily.
- Cover all or partial A/R functions, when needed.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- High School Degree or GED; accounting degree preferred, not required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in AP/AR.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exemplary interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn QuickBooks Online and other related software.
- Occasional travel between locations by vehicle on behalf of the company; must possess and maintain a current valid drivers license.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior office work environment.
