Porter, Maine: We invite a confident Family Medicine Physician to join an established community-focused rural health center (FQHC) serving 22,000 people in and around this western Maine town. We welcome National Health Service Corps candidates to practice in this underserved area.Enjoy a rewarding outpatient-only practice providing care to people of all ages many of whom are uninsured or underinsured in this location on the New Hampshire border just an hour from Portland. This is a busy, multidisciplinary practice providing primary care, dental care, mental health services, nutrition, eye care, podiatry, family planning and more, all in one location with radiology and lab services onsite. Providers here are well-respected and make a difference to local people by breaking down barriers and providing quality care to a population with evolving healthcare needs. You will be part of a care team that includes a medical assistant, an RN, and a call center and patient support representative in this Integrated Primary Care / Patient Centered Medical Home model.You will have a convenient schedule working 4 days/week, 10-hour days, with no nights, weekends, no holidays! Very light phone-only call, shared about 1:8, goes through an RN triage service first so you will only see a handful of calls each month.
