10-Day Supervisor
Primary Purpose:The 10-Day Supervisor is responsible for the management of 10-Day personnel and operations, including moving, loading, and unloading of trucks.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Manages 10-day operations including moving, loading, and unloading of trucks
- Manages both inbound and outbound trailers at the 10-day facility
- Schedules, plans, and directs employees in their assigned tasks; coordinates the processing of inbound and stored materials
- Maintains an inventory of loading supplies for outbound trucks for customer pickups
- Builds loads around the NPS route system
- Ensures proper placarding and labeling of all containers and trucks at the 10-day
- Performs daily inspections, as well as maintenance and distributions, of 10-day tracking log
- Ensures compliance at the 10-day facility
- Ensures all employees are working in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Supports Field Services with waste stream approvals and scheduling IM projects with disposal
- Participates in hiring, performance evaluations, counseling and termination of employees
- Reviews and submits time sheets for hourly employees and approves and tracks vacation/personal time taken by 10-day personnel
- Maintains responsibility for facility maintenance, including directing employees to perform specific maintenance assignments, as well as working with outside contractors as necessary
- Obtains Purchase Orders for ordering
- Prepares shipping documents for customers
Education:
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- 2-3 years of environmental industry experience (required)
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training completion (required)
Competencies:
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- High attention to detail and ability to effectively organize
- Quality communication skills for interacting with both internal and external customers
- Forklift certified
- Excellent working knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Ability to complete necessary additional training related to handling hazardous waste
- Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
