Opsource has partnered with a growing company in Greenville, SC who is looking for a Metal Fabricator/Welder to join their team on 1st or 2nd Shift. Ample overtime opportunities available.
JOB TITLE:
Metal Fabricator/ Welder
SHIFT:
6:00AM - 4:30PM
4:00PM – 1:30AM Monday – Friday
Weekends as needed.
Weekends as needed.
PAY RATE:
Starting at $18-20 DOE and Shift.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products to customer specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
MIG Aluminum/ Steel Welding Experience Preferred!

- Required training in vocational school, related on-the-job experience, or High School’s Diploma/GED.
- Willing to work over time if needed
- Willing to work some weekends if needed
- Be Dependable
- At least 1 (one) year of experience working in fabrication/welding.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Read blueprints and shop drawings to determine material requirements.
2. Set up, maintain, and operate fabricating machinery, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders and drill presses to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
3. Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
4. Move parts into necessary position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
5. Verify conformance of work pieces to work order specifications, using squares, rulers and measuring tapes.
6. Utilize hand and power tools such as jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammers to align and fit parts according to specifications.
7. Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications by utilizing jigs, welding torches and hand tools.
8. Tack weld fitted parts together as needed for formatting.
9. Modify parts and/or remove high spots and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders and cutting torches.
10. Lift or move materials and finished products to their corresponding areas using large cranes.
