Job requirements:
- Support the production operation by providing immediate response to all breakdowns to minimize CNC equipment downtime and follow all escalation processes as defined.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
- Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.
- Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.
- Ensure machine availability goals are met by participating in and organizing Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement activities to increase equipment up time.
- Assist in training employees to perform simple Maintenance tasks as associated with the machines they work on.
- Assists with construction activities and facility maintenance repairs repairing appliances, broken assets, and other issues, such as plumbing, heating, wiring, drywall, and plaster.
- Operate necessary material handling equipment to transport supplies and to make installations and repairs.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environment.
- Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Tech College preferred.
- High School diploma or GED.
- At minimum of 3-5 years' experience of CNC Service Technician required, working with industrial machinery.
- Interpreting prints of machine assemblies, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting and repair.
- Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office and ERP system
- A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes. The vision and willingness to analyze, challenge, create, and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
- Strong verbal and electronic communication skills internally and externally.
- Computer skills to include Excel, Word, and AutoCAD
