Overview:
UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring 1st Shift Electrical Technician I located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Performs maintenance, installation, repair of electrical systems on heavy equipment by applying electrical principles.
Responsibilities:- Repairing and replacing defective parts in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and other electrical fixtures.
- Installing and maintaining electrical components.
- Performing preventive repair and maintenance of field electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components.
- Testing solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment and replacing defective parts.
- Installing enhancements and major upgrades to electrical subsystems.
- Designing and modifying motor power control equipment circuits, reading, and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Ensure the accuracy and completion of all preventive maintenance duties.
- Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry working with low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Proficient ability to calibrate, test, troubleshoot and install instrumentation and/or electrical equipment.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures.
- Must be capable of utilizing proper PPE.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
- Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers.
- Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
- Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
- Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
- Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
- Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
- Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.
