Overview
The Children’s Sales/National Accounts internship role is a unique opportunity for someone who loves a challenge and is eager to learn more about children’s book sales across various accounts, including B&N, BAM and others. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, knowledge of excel and powerpoint, an awareness of marketplace trends, and an interest in children’s books.
Join a team of dynamic, innovative, hands-on national account reps responsible for bringing children’s books to an ever-changing marketplace.
Responsibilities
+ Help prepare online collections in Edelweiss as well as sales presentations in PPT
+ Assist in gathering sales materials (both physical and digital) to aid with sell-in
+ Optimize B&N.com product pages with appropriate supplemental images/assets
+ Maintain lists of key promotional titles at relevant accounts
+ Help support local buys by identifying appropriate store distribution suggestions
+ Support ebook/DA sales efforts by helping curate lists of appropriate promo titles
+ Work with individual members of the Children’s Sales team to become familiar with various account needs/work on account projects
+ Perform other special business projects for various Children’s Sales Management team
Qualifications
+ Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2025 or 2026 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
+ Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office for two days each week, totaling14 hours, from February 3 to April 11, 2025. The specific days will bedeterminedbased on both the candidates' availability and the hiring manager's requirements. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
