TAX PREPARER - 2025 Tax Season

ABOUT THE COMPANY AND OPPORTUNITY:

Our client, located in Guilford, is a highly rated, family-friendly accounting firm looking for someone who has a particular strength in preparing individual and business tax returns.

The company is looking for a Tax Preparer with tax background and customer service skills. Tax Preparer will report directly to the firm partners, as well as to the senior accountant for many of the accounting clients. This role would be perfect for someone who has had one year+ experience in another CPA firm.

An ideal candidate would be self-motivated, able to complete projects in a timely manner and possesses the ability to thrive in an environment with minimal oversight in day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of individual tax returns including federal, state and city returns
• Preparation of corporation, partnership, trusts and gift tax returns for clients in various industries
• Fixed asset, depreciation, and tax adjustments to the general ledger
• Research tax related questions and issues
• Scan documents, creating and maintaining both electronic and paper client files
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 1-3 years tax preparation and/or review experience required
• Experience working within a CPA firm a PLUS
• Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration and problem solving
• Provides exceptional client service, adapts, and takes initiative, strong project management, organizational and analytical skills
