2025 Internship - Customer Service Engineer
Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide technical and engineering coordination between the customer, Marketing and Engineering/Manufacturing. Prepares technical proposals and problem summaries for company wide usage. Provides Service facilities, Field Service personnel and aircraft operators with technical assistance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Prepare technical data and problem summaries from field reports and inspection summaries to brief marketing, engineering and manufacturing functions on field problems.
+ Sustain technical files of existing and potential product improvements and serialized production changes.
+ Analyze discrepancy reports concerning Textron Aviation products. Coordinates corrective action with Manufacturing.
+ Acts as liaison between Field Service and Manufacturing on customer problems and corrective measures.
+ Support the on-site assistance at company owned service centers and independent service stations during investigation of unique aircraft problems or prototype installation.
+ Assist with the preparation of technical programs for operators conferences and technical seminars.
+ Support the team and assist with the coordination of equipment suppliers to achieve maximum reliability from installed equipment on Textron Aviation products.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in:
+ Aircraft Management
+ Aerospace Engineering
+ Avionics Engineering
+ Mechanical Engineering
+ Other related field
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Good computer skills
+ Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work in a team environment to meet department level objectives
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
