Engineering Internships – Capital Project Engineering Group
The Eversource Engineering Internship Program is designed to deliver students with the opportunity to apply both classroom and prior experience learning to real life application. The program is 3-months in duration and provides everyone an opportunity to gain experience working in assigned engineering areas.
The Capital Project Engineering group coordinates the engineering efforts and is the interface between engineering and other project team members on certain projects. The projects are either large in scope, are strategic in nature and / or have significant financial impact to the Company. We work in close collaboration with all engineering disciplines (internal and external), Project Management, Siting, Legal, Field Engineering, Transmission Policy, Outside Developers and Regulators as part of a team to bring these projects to successful completion
As an intern, you will assist department engineers and lead engineers with routine and special projects involving the Capital Project group: These projects will include completing activities and assignments associated with improving the safe and reliable design and operation of the electrical transmission and distribution system. You will learn basic utility engineering concepts applicable to the group you are placed in and will also learn the principles of good customer service and electric reliability.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
You will need to be pursuing a BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Ideally, you will have technical and analytical background and experience. Software experience includes Microsoft Office Suite.
