The Summer Internship Program at Oppenheimer provides participants a unique opportunity to learn about the financial services industry and different business channels within the Firm by working side-by-side with seasoned experts. Our interns gain practical experience of working in an office environment and the Program is intended to bridge their formal academic education with real world application.
Oppenheimer’s eight to ten week summer internship is designed to fully immerse bright, motivated students in the day-to-day activities of one of our departments. The program includes ongoing information sessions where you’ll learn about our Firm culture and history, as well as the benefits and responsibilities of being a member of Oppenheimer. You will also receive department-specific training designed to help you succeed in your role.
Oppenheimer internships are real jobs with real impact. As an intern, you will receive actual responsibilities that come with the same expectations as a full-time employee. Additionally, this experience will give you the chance to work alongside our industry leaders.
To apply for a Summer Internship position in Business Segments and Corporate Infrastructure, candidates are currently pursuing a college or university degree with a graduation date between May 2025 and December 2026. We are looking for students with an outstanding record of academic achievement of a 3.2 GPA or higher, demonstrated contributions to campus or community activities, strong communication and problem-solving skills and an interest in Oppenheimer and the financial services industry.

Compensation:
For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The current base wage offered for this role is $20 per hour.
