Job Summary
PSEG is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Engineering Department in Projects and Construction.
This job involves working as a(n) engineer in the Projects and Construction team, utilizing a broad knowledge of business and engineering principles and practices acquired through previous coursework, experience, and on the job training.
This position will be Hybrid. Primary reporting location will be South Plainfield, but additional reporting locations may vary depending on work group assignment. Locations may include Somerset, Lawrenceville, Secaucus, Moorestown, Clifton, Newark.
Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
- Assist the warehouse supervisor/project leader with all aspects of Supply Change Management functions.
- Assist the M&TE supervisor/project leader with all aspects of the site M&TE Calibration Lab.
- Assist with development and implementation of projects as assigned.
- Work with internal and external groups to support assigned projects.
- Conduct presentations on project status at group meetings and leadership meetings.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism in attitudes and communication with fellow employees and customers.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required education/skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the Fall term of 2025. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and clean driving history.

• 3.0 GPA
• Should be located within a reasonable time travel to PSEG Nuclear located in Hancock's Bridge, NJ.
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
