About the Job
Our client is looking for an experienced National Director of Sales – San Francisco based. This candidate will have experience in the life science equipment marketplace selling into pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, CDMO, and academic research customers. They will have successful experience leading and growing a field sales team and the willingness to accompany sales representatives on customer sales calls.

Total Estimated Compensation (estimation based on LST market data): $250,000 - $300,000 plus home office set up and excellent benefits
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Biochemistry, Biomolecular, or related field
- 10+ years of National field sales management experience
- Experience in managing, coaching, and growing a field sales team; including developing and executing sales plans, and partnering with customers to understand their needs
- Exposure to proteins, antibodies, Elisa, qPCR, viral vector, gene therapy, Elisa microplate reader, AAV, Crispr, protein characterization, or related technology is a PLUS
- Strong leadership skills
- Business savvy, strategic, and highly motivated
- Must be willing to accompany sales representative on calls and close sales
- Ability to establish goals and objectives to achieve sales targets
- Strong presentation, analytical, and customer service skills complimented by an aggressive and solutions-oriented track record
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Prepare and manage forecast of regional revenue and business growth for planning purposes
- Ability for overnight travel across the USA
- Based near the San Francisco area
