Our client is seeking a qualified 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join their team in Chicopee, MA.

Schedule: 3:30pm-1:00am

Starting Rate: $27.00-$29.00/Hr.

Production Supervisor Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Production Supervisor oversees daily operations on the production floor, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role involves supervising staff, managing production schedules, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing workflow to meet production goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of production workers.
• Provide training and development for team members.
• Oversee daily production activities to ensure targets are met.
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Manages department inventory
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Manages cost and profitability of the department
• Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports for management on production performance
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
• Conduct safety training and regular safety audits.
• Material handling of hazardous material while following procedures and best practices
• May operate forklift to assist production areas

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing setting, along with 1-3 years management experience
• Working knowledge of production reporting and scheduling
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Basic understanding of lumber math/grades and types
• Forklift license
