Position Overview:
The Loading Lead will oversee and coordinate the loading operations for our 2nd shift. This role involves supervising loading activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading a team of loading associates. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Loading Operations: Oversee the loading of products onto trucks or containers, ensuring all items are loaded safely and efficiently.
- Lead a Team: Manage, train, and motivate a team of loading associates, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety concerns immediately.
- Monitor Performance: Track and report on loading productivity, accuracy, and efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operations.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and transportation teams to ensure seamless operations and timely dispatch of goods.
- Quality Control: Inspect loaded items to ensure they meet quality standards and are correctly documented. Address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Maintain Equipment: Ensure that loading equipment and tools are properly maintained and report any malfunctions or needs for repair.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of loading activities, including shipment logs and any incidents or issues that occur during the shift.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or loading environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure correct loading and documentation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems and loading equipment. Basic computer skills are required.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications or additional training in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus.

Hours:
- Sundays – 8am-4:30pm or until finish loading
- Monday through Thursday – 3:15pm-Midnight or until finish loading
