Our company is owned by 31 independent Farm, Ranch & Home retailers ("Members") who operate over 800 stores in 36 states and 9 Canadian provinces with combined annual sales in excess of 7.5 billion dollars.--Our member/owners retail items such as agriculture parts & supplies, petroleum products, hardware & tools, pet food, lawn & garden, animal health supplies, apparel & footwear, sporting goods, and various other products for the Farm, Ranch, and Home.We are looking for competitive people who like to win big and have fun doing it.--We place a tremendous amount of emphasis on creating a unique and positive company culture.--Most of our employees will tell you this is the best place they've ever worked.--We value high-energy people who like to work hard and play hard.--Our consumers are primarily rural people raising "kids, pets, cows, and crops" so traditional values like God, family, and patriotism are important virtues around here.--So, if you are enthusiastic and competitive, have a great attitude, have good communication skills, build relationships, love to win, and like ice cream - Mid-States is the place for you!--If you are not, please apply with our competitors!----POSITION OVERVIEW:Performs any of the necessary functions for supervising all warehouse activities and associates including receiving, warehousing, and shipping of customer product in a manner consistent with service and cost objectives.----Position requires ability to multi-tasks and manage using independent judgement, decision making, and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to operate well within a team.----ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:----------------Supervises all aspects of the inbound & outbound operation from timely receipts, shipping daily orders to inventory storage.----------------Oversees the planning, staffing, and execution of all 2nd Shift functions.----------------Resolves issues through coordination with teams to include receiving, shipping and inventory control.----------------Devises and implements changes in both the inbound and outbound area that will continuously improve/enhance performance.----------------Develops and fosters an atmosphere of high employee morale through an active, fair, and consistent implementation of policies and procedures.----------------Prepares work schedules and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs.----------------Supports the safety program to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.----------------Evaluates employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.----------------Develop and coach team members to achieve department goals and objectives.----------------Responsible for establishing and maintaining good communication and working relations with company personal and management team.----------------Operates MHE equipment: forklift, turret truck, rider pallet jacks hand jack, and other MHE as necessary.----------------Ensures all appropriate paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.----------------Works closely with the management team to develop and implement short and long-term strategies and help build and promote a strong teamwork environment in all areas.----------------Performs other duties as assigned including duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.------------TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY:----------------Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Access, Word and Power Point.----------------Experience with Material Handling Equipment and Forklifts preferred.----------------Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF Scanners preferred..MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a high school diploma/GED.Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent warehouse operations experience.Material Handling Equipment Certification on all equipment (will provide certification training)Minimum of five (5) years working in production or warehouse operations.Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Possess interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to interact with people at all levels ----------------Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.-- PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: ----------------Ability to climb.--Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.----------------Ability to stoop.--Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.----------------Ability to kneel.--Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.----------------Ability to crouch.--Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.----------------Ability to crawl.--Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.----------------Ability to reach.--Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.----------------Ability to stand for extended periods of time.----------------Ability to walk.--Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.----------------Ability to push.--Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.----------------Ability to pull.--Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.----------------Ability to lift.--Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.------------------Ability to use fingers.--Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.----------------Ability to grasp.--Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.----------------Ability to talk.--Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word.----------------Ability to hear.--Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels.----------------Ability to perform repetitive motion.--Substantial movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.----------------Ability to perform heavy work.--Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.----------------Visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating a motor vehicle or material handling equipment.----------------Ability to work in environmental conditions that are protected from the weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.A few words from our COO:Mid-States is truly the best company I have ever worked for.--We strive to provide a unique, exciting, fulfilling work environment for our staff.--We are cautious when we hire because we want to protect that environment.--Drama, laziness, and entitlement have no place in Mid-States.--Our company is very financially sound and growing like crazy.--If you are an enthusiastic, high-energy person with a positive attitude and the skills described above, you may have just found the last job you will ever apply for.--I look forward to meeting you. - Jeff--------Compensation details: 60000 Yearly SalaryPIc9c8d4ee07f5-25660-35652616
