2nd Shift Fleet Mechanic - FLEET006449-00001
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Fleet Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, maintaining and repairing a variety of road, industrial, and construction equipment. This position will support our 2nd shift team, working Monday - Friday from 4:00 pm - 1:30 am
Responsibilities of our fleet technicians include:
* Must perform local, state, and federal inspections on all types of equipment
* Perform repairs to Peterbilt's, flatbed trailers, Over-head Cranes, Forklifts and other material handling and heavy equipment
* Ability to perform brake reconditioning, suspension repairs, replacement of seals, alternators, starters, clutch, transmission and other general repairs for Class 1 to Class 8 vehicles.
* Perform repairs to tractor electronics
* Candidate may be required to perform road service a few times a year
Our ideal candidate will posses the following education and work requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience as a fleet maintenance mechanic
* A valid Class 7 State Inspection and Emissions license is preferred, we are willing to train candidates without this license in order to obtain it
* General welding experience a plus
* ASE Certifications and Refrigeration license a plus
* The ability to work in both a team and independent environment, making decisions without the assistance of supervision
* Driver's License required
