2nd Shift Materials Project Estimator for CNC Department - OpSource Staffing

Opsource has partnered with Kostwein Corporation a growing company in Greenville, SC who is looking for an experienced CNC Project Estimator who is an expert with setting up, operating, and working with CNC Machines and has expertise in product materials, cost and estimating experience. Mori Seiki Milling experience is a plus.
This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Hours: Monday through Friday: 2PM to 11PM
Pay: $35-38
Must have 5 years’ experience setting up CNC Machines, Material/Project Estimating, those with Mechatronics or Machine Tool Tech degrees encouraged to apply.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- MUST BE ABLE TO SET UP, OPERATE AND ADAPT PROGRAMS on CNC MILLING MACHINES (3-4 Axis).
- Able to program, read and have a full understanding of G Code.
- Must be able to read blueprints, experience with AutoCAD, Creo or 3d Modeling Software.
- Experience in analyzing materials for projects and executing nonconformity management processes.
- CNC Material knowledge (Stainless steel, carbon, aluminum.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
- Teamwork, flexibility to move from job to job to support the schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Loads raw material onto machining center per procedures.
- Able to identify the most cost responsible materials for incoming projects.
- Final analysis of finished parts.
- Adapt and improve machining processes, tool selection and feeds & speeds on a variety of materials being machined.
- Ability to load work programs and perform complex machining.
- Use precision measuring instruments to set up machines and check machined items.
- Use standard machine tools including, but not limited to, drill press and a variety of hand, electric, etc. tools.
- Select, verify, and install tooling according to specifications and operation.
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications per written processes and procedures.
- Works well independently with little direct supervision
- Ability to document passes down information pertinent to other shifts in a routine and orderly manner.
- Extensive use of blueprints, process plans, program sheets, holding fixture location diagrams, etc.
- Able to set up and prepare machines for operation.
