Title: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift
Location: Broadview, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Must have: 3-5 years manufacturing/supervisory experience
Job Duties:
- Provide guidance on safety, quality, and productivity to ensure goals are achieved by adhering to established processes and instructions.
- Maximize throughput while meeting budgetary and cost targets.
- Serve as the primary contact for secondary support, assisting other departments as needed.
- Consistently monitor and ensure that production lines are operating safely, efficiently, and delivering high-quality products.
- Facilitate problem-solving at the lowest level possible and coordinate effectively with related departments.
- Foster communication and recognition among employees, peers, and management to promote a culture of teamwork.
- Create a positive work environment that enables teams to successfully complete their tasks.
- Handle basic supervisory administrative duties and documentation.
- Assign tasks to a unionized workforce and ensure accountability for compliance with safety, quality, and production processes in daily operations.
- Be flexible to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 + years’ manufacturing/supervisory experience
- Powder Coating, E-coating, Painting experience preferred
- Safety and Quality experience preferred
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Prior experience managing an hourly work force
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
