Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (with flexible weekends)
We are looking for a dependable motivated 2nd shift Quality Assurance Technician, to join the SAERTEX multiCom team. The QA Technician provides direct quality support to the production area.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The QA Technician provides direct quality support to the production area. As such you play a very important role being a link between Quality Management/Quality Assurance and Production/Warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent quality management on the plant floor to help ensure product & process quality
- Product and machine quality checks according to specifications, form & function parameters, as well as any other technical data required
- Incoming goods receiving control, including chemical lab (resin testing) and foils inspection
- Outgoing goods control
- Handling of nonconformities (NCR), including root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions, e.g. rework/repair, or disposition decisions (Scrap, Release to Customer, Return to Stock) including coordination with other departments involved.
- Equipment calibration verification
- Help maintain traceability by upkeeping documentation & filing systems
- Continuous improvement activities
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in operational, or technical function supporting manufacturing.
- Attention to detail, flexibility, and an awareness of production quality control.
- Must be computer literate; able to utilize computer systems such as SAP and Microsoft 365 to input & retrieve information.
- Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Also ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Must have good listening skills & be able to follow instruction both written & verbal. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be customer focused & focused on results.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. A large percentage of work time is spent in the plant where temperatures can be hot or cold (seasonally) and noise level are moderate to high.
