The Water Spider plays an essential role by kitting parts and delivering them in sequence to a fabricator, welder or assembler to maintain continuous flow within an Assembly or Process Area. This individual will be physically active, interact with all team members and have a customer-oriented mindset.
- Pick, kit and deliver materials on a designated route to maintain flow in an Assembly or Process Area
- Transfer completed parts or sub-assemblies to a designated outbound drop zone
- Complete all required ERP inventory transactions using a mobile device or computer
- Maintain material supermarket and line-side storage to 6S standards
- Escalate to area leader when any safety, quality or process standard cannot be met
- Recommend safety or process improvement ideas using internal CI submission tool
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, quality standards, and safety/regulatory requirements
- Comply with all ISO documentation and process standards
- Perform all other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- General understanding of material handling
- Basic computer skills
- Use of pallet jack
- ERP experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Consistently lift and move bins, boxes, fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and skids
- Frequently stand, walk, reach within hands and arm’s length, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Lift up to 40 pounds
