Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics amp; Sports Medicine is where experienced, highly trained professionals advance the health of patients through specialized, expert treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal (bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons) problems. The practicersquo;s holistic approach to orthopedics involves coordination of personalized services within the practice and with other providers, to ensure a comprehensive range of care to people of all ages. We have combined expertise in all major orthopedic specialties, including sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, hand amp; upper extremities, joint replacement and spine care.

Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant or EMT-B to support a Physician in our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine office at our West Hatfield location (4 West Street, West Hatfield, MA 01088). The hours for this role are either 7:30am- 4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. Our Medical Assistants work 1 to 1 with their assigned provider.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
- Preparing patient charts
- Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs
