About the Role
The manager role at Fort Cavazos will lead a team in working with our military counterparts. The manager will act as a liaison between the customer and GDLS personnel.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
- The Field Maintenance Manager will be required to provide leadership and strategic planning for Stryker Brigade Team and Stryker Sustainment organizations to meet and/or exceed the organization's financial goals and business objectives.
- Manage all aspects of the 3CR’s Maintenance contracted support personnel and work requirements.
- Responsible for providing leadership to supervisors and employees in the areas of performance management, employee relations, safety, rewards and recognition and talent acquisition.
- Lead, manage, direct, and sustain a high performing repair/overhaul and test organization capable of meeting the demands of both internal and external customer requirements.
- Responsible for the business unit’s training program.
- Manage the quality and performance metrics for vehicle readiness and organizational maintenance procedures.
- Manage operations in the field at remote sites as required.
- Provide assistance to USG personnel as directed.
- Plan, manage, and execute budget for business unit. Review analysis of activities, cost, operations, and forecast data.
- Define/develop service metrics based on organizational objectives/goals related to target expectations.
- Provide leadership and experience that ensures a smooth operation and flow of activities.
Qualifications Sought
- 10+ Years’ Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Familiarity with the Stryker family of Ground Combat Vehicles and have a minimum of 5 years of Stryker maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Be able to work autonomously with government personnel;
- Must be able to meet and maintain all deployment requirements, to include a Passport
- Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills;
- Willing to work effectively in a team-oriented structure to include field, office, and shop environments both on and off military installations;
- Able to travel with the GDLS teams to other military or field sites within the U.S and OCONUS;
Additional Information / Desired Experience
- This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
- Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles.
- Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
- Familiarity with military standards and test requirements desired.
- Occasional travel to test sites may be required.
