Job Summary

Bohannan Huston is currently seeking a fulltime 3D Modeler to join our Visual Communications Group in our Albuquerque, NM office.

As a 3D Modeler, you will be responsible for creating high quality 3D models for use in engineering projects, visualizations, and presentations. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and designers to develop accurate and visually appealing models that meet project specifications and client expectations.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have a Bachelor's degree in 3D Modeling, Computer Graphics, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• You have 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling, preferably within the engineering, architecture, or construction industries.
• You must be able to work onsite in the Albuquerque office at least 3 days a week.
• You have demonstrated proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Blender, 3DS Max, or equivalent. Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and GIS platforms (ArcGIS) is a plus.
• You are skilled in creating detailed and accurate 3D models for various engineering projects, including infrastructure, buildings, and landscapes.
• You have experience developing realistic renderings and animations using rendering software such as Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, and D5 Render.
• You have strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the company.
• You have a strong sense of spatial design, attention to detail, and the ability to create visually compelling models.
• You are able to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on assigned tasks.
• You are familiar with quality assurance practices, ensuring all 3D models meet quality standards by reviewing designs for errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Modeling and Design: Create detailed 3D models for various engineering projects, including infrastructure, buildings, and landscapes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate 3D models.
• Visualization: Develop realistic renderings and animations to support client and stakeholder engagement throughout project stages.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all 3D models are accurate and meet quality standards by reviewing designs for errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Integration with CAD and GIS: Seamlessly integrate 3D models with CAD software and GIS platforms to enhance project coordination and presentation.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of modeling processes and decisions, ensuring project files are well-organized and accessible.
• Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in 3D modeling and visualization technologies to continually enhance the quality and efficiency of our work.
