We seek an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance and Operations to join our team and drive our operations to new heights.
Job Summary:
The Director of Finance and Operations will oversee the day-to-day back-office operations for this firm with a focus on industrial concrete installation projects. This role involves finance operations and all that it touches. Additionally, there are general operation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, preferably in industrial concrete installation, and a proven track record of successful finance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extensive experience with financial operations including all basic accounting functions: AR - AP - HR - Payroll - Line of Credit Management - Expense Management - Inventory Control - Month End Close
- Extensive operational experience: Although this position has no field responsibilities they will serve as the interface between the back office and the field
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, operational performance, and key metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - Finance or Business
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on industrial concrete installation being a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in construction accounting principles and methodologies
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
