Hiring 6GR Welders
Labor One Staffing, is looking for skilled Welders for the Ingleside, TX area. Welders to build and repair large structures and platforms. Most fabrication will be done with Flux core. Must pass a 6GR skill test.
Labor One Staffing, is looking for skilled Welders for the Ingleside, TX area. Welders to build and repair large structures and platforms. Most fabrication will be done with Flux core. Must pass a 6GR skill test.
Job Requirement:
- Read blueprints and drawings or read plan measurements and follow layouts and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components of welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with power saws to match measurements).
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Verify your work that welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety and skills.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (FCAW, STICK, etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, granders, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing and PPE (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Experience using cutting tools.
- Ability to measure and cut materials
- Pass 6GR Test
- Must be willing to work in heights and confined spaces.
Welding Test “6GR”
- 6” Pipe Sch. 120 , (Root / Fill / Cap) with (FCAW)
- 6” Pipe Sch. XX , (Root / Fill / Cap) with (FCAW)
- Open root 1/8 in, root face 1/16in (single -bevel)
- Gas: 75%ar-25%Co2
- Must pass Physical and UA.
