Our direct client has an opening for a WebSphere Administrator # 129675. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked mostly remote within the State of WI (Candidate must work CST business hours).

Job Description:
- Top Required Skills & Years of Experience: (5+ years)
- Installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows).
- Proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
- Resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
- Hands-on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Provide a broad range of technical skills in support of all WebSphere customers.
- Training and/or experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Korn, and Jython.
- Knowledge of change management best practices in a complex hosting environment.
Description:
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for various departments’ applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of hardware and software.
- Responsible for application deployments.
- Maintain and update infrastructure documentation.
- Complete implementation of security policies and filters associated with the tools.
- Provide additional troubleshooting support.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Experience with installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows) (5).
- Ability to provide proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
- Ability to provide resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
