FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The Supervisor will execute the functions of daily operations requirements and ensure resources are meeting safety, productivity, accuracy, and service goals. Provide leadership and guidance to associates. Fosters teamwork, cross-functional communication, personal growth and accountability.
INTERACTION:
· Reports to Department Manager.
· Bealls Transportation, Distribution, Area Leader, Group Leaders and DVP’s.
· Bealls Loss Prevention and Transportation Teams.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):
· Provide on the job leadership and guidance to associates.
· Create and maintain a positive work environment where you provide first level support and follow up for all Associate’s needs.
· Maintain workplace safety standards in a clean and orderly environment.
· Set daily/weekly goals for associates and effectively communicates goals to ensure associate understanding. Follows up regularly to ensure associate satisfactorily achieves goals.
· Ensure that established operating procedures (SOP’s) are followed for all department functions and processes.
· Administer company policies and practices and ensure compliance. As needed, administer company established discipline procedures for policy violations.
· Responsible for people and team development, ensuring adequate training of department employees.
· Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short & long-term performance goals.
· Engage cross-functionally with business partners to assist team to solve operational issues using company’s established problem-solving practices.
· Partner with and assist Department Managers to deliver Performance Reviews and Corrective Actions.
· Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on your direct area of responsibility.
· May be required to perform other processing functions and/or duties based on business needs.

· Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
· Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc).
· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., necessary to move cartons of merchandise.
· Must stand on feet 85% of day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma as a minimum education degree.
· Must have a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience or in a leadership role.
· Proven leadership skills and experience in employee relations.
· Multidisciplinary experience (i.e. operations, logistics, retail, supply chain, transportation, and distribution) is a plus.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Haitian Creole) is preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting.
· Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point.
· Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements.
· Self-directed, multi-tasking, hands on, and action oriented with the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations.
· Goal oriented and customer focused.
· Ability to make decisions based on the complete Company perspective.
· Problem solver.
