Overview:
As an AI/ML Engineer, you will analyze complex datasets to assess performance or find new patterns and apply machine learning techniques to data sets related to immigration, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop scalable solutions using AI and ML learning models
- Research and test learning algorithms and predictive models
- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analyses, model development, validation and implementation
- Advise C-suite executives and business leaders on a broad range of technology, strategy, and policy issues associated with AI
- Work with key stakeholders to establish business cases with anticipated costs and savings of implemented AI/ML solutions
- Clearly communicate the benefits and limitations of AI/ML models and capabilities to a variety of stakeholders
- Oversee model health within applications and developing new models to increase efficiency leveraging python, JAVA, and Sagemaker
- Oversee, support, and coach, and a team of AI/ML engineers
- Advise C-suite executives and business leaders on a broad range of technologies, strategy, and policy issues associated with AI
- Clearly communicate status, risks, and issues of ongoing projects to a variety of stakeholders
Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Management or Engineering or other STEM related degree
- 10 years of experience in a related IT field
- 3 years of experience deploying production enterprise applications in AWS that use AI/ML
- Expertise in python, JAVA, and Sagemaker
- Proven Ability to understand the broader agency challenges and find ways to make progress in the environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Desired
- AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
- Experience of Jira, Confluence
- Experience supporting DHS and/or USCIS
- Experience working in government consulting
- Highly prefer candidates in the eastern, central or mountain time zones
- Experience supporting US government customers
In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $160,000 to $210,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
