Job Summary

Sentara Medical Group has an employment position available for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join Sentara Neurology Specialists at their Harrisonburg location. The provider must be able to function independently, complete general neurology assessments, and round on patients hospitalized with neurological issues in the acute-care setting. We prefer applicants with prior experience in Neurology as a licensed provider, or who completed a clinical rotation in Neurology, and will consider new graduates.

Position Highlights:

1. 7on/7off Model; 8a-5p
2. 100% Inpatient Responsibilities
3. Duties: Neurology consultations to include chart review, data interpretation, obtaining a thorough H&P, formulating an assessment and plan, executing orders pertaining to the A&P, procedures such as lumbar punctures, and corresponding with other treatment teams

Qualifications:

• MLD - Master's Level Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
• Authorization to Prescribe License - Certification - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Certification - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
• Physician Assistant License (PA) - State License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
