The company is currently seeking an Designer I for Controls Engineering

Responsibilities:As an AutoCAD Electrical Designer, you will be a member of the controls engineering team responsible for the electrical/controls portion of airport baggage security systems. You will use design tools (primarily AutoCAD) to detail the electrical/controls elements needed to meet the specifications within the project schedule and budget.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Layout and design of electrical controls for material handling systems.
- Detailing designs in AutoCAD using tools and processes (including AutoCAD Electrical).
- Electrical design calculations.
- Preparation of functional specifications and drawings for panel manufacturing, field wiring and subcontracts.
- Attend and participate in team meetings when required.
- Meet timelines to ensure assignments stay on schedule and on budget.
- Take a role in the development of the position for future hires.
Basic Knowledge
- CAD Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of Computer Aided Design.
- Working knowledge of how electrical drawings are implemented into a functional installation.
- Electrical schematic diagrams, Motor Control Panel design, and other drawings typical of a control system.
- English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

- On occasion, off-shift work may be necessary to support project efforts.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in AutoCAD detailing of electrical/control systems (preferred).
- AutoCAD experience.
- Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with material handling equipment (preferred).
