AR Clerk (EST Hours) - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining customer accounts, and ensuring timely collections. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with at least 6 months of relevant experience looking to further their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments and post transactions to customer accounts.
• Generate and send customer invoices and statements.
• Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing AR aging reports for management review.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Support month-end closing processes and reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to address billing inquiries.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
• 6 months of experience in accounts receivable or a related role.
• Proficient in MS Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
