About the Job
General Purpose
- General supervision of the Accounts Receivable department, concentrating on projects to improve efficiency
- Contribute to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customerservice standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements
- Manage projects that improve Accounts Receivable efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure data and process integrity of AR process by working with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounts Receivable Personnel
- Ensure that operational criterion is reflected in the accounts receivable functions
- Direct and lead the work of others in the department
- Communicate and explain work procedures to subordinates
- Resolve complex billing issues
- Maintains cash receipts and refers accounts to credit insurance agencies
- Assist with month end journal entry postings
- Assist in the financial planning with the help of cash forecasting
- Additional assignments as required by the needs of the business
- Four year degree or higher (preferred)
- Prior background in an accounts receivable position
- Equivalent work experience without degree (required)
- Process oriented and resourceful with ability to improve current procedures
- Ability to understand full Sales to Receivable process and make improvements
- Working knowledge of EDI and other electronic data exchange functions
- Superior spreadsheet skills with advanced Excel knowledge and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly skilled and proficient at verifying financial or transactional data
- Expert knowledge of accounting functions to support receivable operations and applications
- Critical thinking and ability and willingness to handle detailoriented projects and work accurately and efficiently
- Working knowledge of SAP (preferred)
- Maintain all communications with confidentiality

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
