Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team in Hopkinton, MA. Lumber Street Auto treats our employees as family. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring that customers’ vehicles are in excellent working condition. You will be working on routine maintenance as well as more complex repairs, offering exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (additional hours may be required based on workload).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out vehicle repairs including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and more.
- Ensure vehicles meet safety standards by conducting thorough inspections.
- Accurately document all repair work and service performed.
- Communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle’s condition and necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications a plus.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, especially when explaining technical details to customers.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE Certification or equivalent.
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Knowledge of hybrid or electric vehicles.
