Job Overview
The Lead Technician (Tech 3) will be a key player in our operations, responsible for executing complex AV and control system installations, leading on-site teams, and ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of quality. This role is ideal for someone who is not only technically proficient but also has a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a desire to grow with a company that values innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Field Operations: Execute and oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of advanced AV and control systems (Crestron, Control4, Lutron, etc.)
- Programming: Utilize and develop programming skills to configure and customize control systems for optimal performance, ensuring seamless integration across all components
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior technicians (Tech 2), ensuring they develop the skills needed to progress in their careers
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on all installations, ensuring they meet company standards and client expectations
- Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact on job sites, explaining systems and providing training to clients as needed
- Project Coordination: Work closely with the service coordinator to manage daily tasks, ensure projects are on schedule, and communicate any issues or changes
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on processes and suggest improvements, contributing to the ongoing development of our operational procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV installation and control systems, with a strong preference for residential experience
- Proficiency with major control systems (Crestron, Control4, Lutron) and a willingness to learn and certify in others as required
- Programming knowledge and experience in configuring control systems, with a desire to expand these further
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
- Excellent communication skills, both with clients and team members
- Passion for the industry with a commitment to continuous learning and growth, including obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and think critically under pressure
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive company vehicles to job sites
- Willingness to relocate, if necessary, with a strong preference for candidates already in the LA area

Compensation
$100,000-$105,000 with Overtime
