What You'll Do:
The AV Operations Technician II will be responsible for Enterprise standardization of Audio Visual (AV) integrated rooms. The individual will lead in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of small to large-scale AV systems to include video teleconferencing, sound systems, lighting, displays, and Command-and-Control operation centers. This individual will provide outstanding service and AV Support to C-level executives and VIPs.
Main Responsibilities Include:

Act as a subject matter expert on leading AV technologies and integration.
*
Provide excellent customer service and respond to customers via ticketing queue, email, or other communication channels.
*
Consult with management on implementation and integration strategies for functional AV systems.
*
Collaborate with IT, Facilities, Colleges, and vendor contacts to quickly resolve technical issues.
*
Experience with Cisco Webex encoders/decoders, cameras and media extenders.
*
Responsible for documenting, maintaining operations, and maintenance processes and procedures.
*
Extensive knowledge implementing video/webcast over LAN and WAN networks.
*
Able to identify/implement configuration changes to web/video cast servers for multi stream events.
*
Identify and implement configuration changes to web/video cast servers for multi-stream events.
*
Troubleshoot hardware cabling and components.
*
Experienced with building materials and hand tools.
*
Maintain sufficient inventory of supplies and ensure operating efficiency of equipment.
*
Provide direction and resolution in high-pressure circumstances and provide immediate response to client requests for assistance.
*
Travel to remote WGU sites for support of AV systems
*
Working knowledge of wireless and VPN technologies, TCP/IP addressing.
*
Ensure daily that all onsite Conference Technology systems are fully functional; daily check of displays, video conferencing units and audio DSP equipment in conference rooms to insure they remain in good working order.
*
Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, development of professional contacts with colleagues, attendance of professional development courses or trainings as directed by the supervisor.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
