Systems Programmer or Systems Engineer to help with the configuration, management, and maintenance of our IBMi series system. Looking for experience in live Migration to AWS and some design (need to understand the IBMi and AWS.

Managing and maintaining our IBMi series systems.

Managing and maintaining DB2 for IBMi.

Network setup and configuration with AWS services.

Basic qualifications

Experience managing IBMi series systems

Experience with DB2 for IBMi

Experience with IBM i data replication

Experience with networking configuration and integration of IBMi systems and AWS services

Experience with MIMIX SHARE a plus

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in mainframe systems engineering and modernization projects.

Demonstrated expertise in AWS cloud services and solutions, with a focus on mainframe migration and modernization.

Proficiency in programming languages such as COBOL, Java, or PL/I commonly used in mainframe environments.

Strong understanding of mainframe hardware, operating systems, and application architectures.

Experience in designing and implementing scalable and resilient solutions on AWS for mainframe workloads.

Familiarity with mainframe databases, middleware, and communication protocols.

Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are preferred.

Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize mainframe applications and systems on AWS.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment on AWS.

Experience in conducting architecture reviews and providing recommendations for mainframe modernization on AWS.

Understanding of governance, compliance, and security best practices in AWS environments.

Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and drive innovation in the mainframe modernization space on AWS.
