Location : Jersey City, NJ - 3 days on-ste - Only local candidates will be considered for this role
Salary : 160-175K + 7%
Due to US Regulations, you must have a Green Card at mimium to be considered for this position.
Must have the following skills to be considered for this opportunity:
- Strong AWS Cloud skills in load balancing, IPSEC tunnels, VPCs, Subnets NACLs, S3 storage, FSX EFS, and private links.
- Strong physical WAN networking background with Cisco Routers/Switches, BGP and or OSPF - (Layer2/3).
- Any experience with Ansible or scripting in Terraform would be considered a plus.
This position will be the lead subject matter expert for the Infrastructure department for all tasks, projects, and support related to the Bank's AWS Cloud environment. In addition, backup support will be provided for other areas of focus for the infrastructure department.
Technical Administration :
- Develop programs/procedures to enhance the Cloud/LAN/WAN operation and performance, as needed.
- Keep abreast of technological changes for Cloud/LAN/WAN products and make recommendations for those products that may benefit the Bank.
- Perform or assist in formal assessments or audits of the Cloud and network infrastructure.
- Perform Cloud/LAN/WAN-related assignments, such as budget assistance, preventive maintenance issues, and support for hardware and operating systems acquired in the future, as requested by the Senior Manager of Infrastructure.
- Fulfill administrative reporting requirements such as performance statistics reporting.
- Attend classes and trade shows related to the Cloud industry.
- Configure, implement, maintain, distribute, and document network hardware and software.
- Monitor, manage, and document Cloud connectivity performance.
- Report significant capacity issues in a timely manner to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure.
- Cloud storage design, administration, and support across all environments.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide second-level end-user support as needed.
- Act as an internal consultant to other IT functions and business groups.
- Work with the vendor and users in the planning, implementation, change control, testing, documentation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, problem resolution, and disaster recovery setup for Cloud, internet, or network-specific platforms.
- Work with the vendor, users, and security specialists in the security administration for Cloud, internet, or network-specific related platforms
- Work with Security Specialists to ensure the hardening of any systems and devices and the application of patches as necessary.
- Assist in IT strategic planning as required.
- Provide full technical and administrative support for the assigned Bank area. Support includes, but is not limited to, Problem resolution (business and off-hours), user support and system maintenance, and managing vendor relationships.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Assess the need for additional technical staff and/or consultants.
Other Duties :
- Technical lead as needed from project to project.
- Plan, implement, maintain, and manage all underlying infrastructure comprising the Cloud, LAN, WAN, Internet, and storage environments.
- Technology research and analysis as applicable.
- Attend classes, presentations, and trade shows related to the computer industry.
- Carry out particular tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager of Infrastructure
Skills & Experience :
- 7+ years of experience in installation and support of Cloud-based services (AWS).
- 10 + years of experience in the installation and support of information network and storage solutions, including:
- Administration experience in a WINDOWS platform environment.
- Implementing and supporting networked environments.
- Enterprise storage and SAN environments.
- Selecting, implementing, and supporting third-party vendor solutions
- Experience leading in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Bank's systems and architecture.
- Strong experience with formal Disaster Recovery planning and processes.
- Experience in a colocation environment
Education :
Bachelor's degree in business or computer science preferred. Professional experience and/or certifications will be considered in lieu of education.
