As an AWS Sales Engineer at Adastra, you'll spearhead the adoption of cloud computing across our North American and European regions. Collaborate closely with the internal sales teams, clients, and partners to lend your technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales process!
Location: Austin, TX
Status: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales
- Engage in initial discussions with AWS or clients, articulating Adastra's value proposition, partnership advantages, and showcasing past use cases
- Own client and partner follow-ups, building relationships and addressing inquiries
- Curate customer and partner presentations to communicate technical solutions and benefits
- Develop proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs), including pricing recommendations and delivery team composition
- Lead Customer Workshops and Ideation Sessions for solution understanding
Delivery
- Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), actively contributing to high-value engagements through hands-on delivery
Practice
- Collaborate on building win wires, success stories, and use cases for new wins
- Contribute to achieving partnership goals, including technical certifications for Adastra.
Additional
- Identify and qualify AWS leads for cloud solution adoption
- Conduct client demonstrations and presentations to showcase AWS services and Adastra's capabilities
- Lead AWS Skill Builder onboarding and training sessions for internal teams
- Prepare RFP responses, proposals, and SOWs for AWS solutions
- Collaborate on cost estimates with AWS Practice members
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for AWS webinars, articles, and campaigns
- Foster relationships with AWS sales teams for effective collaboration on GTM strategies
- Stay current with AWS products and services for informed recommendations
Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:
- Strong communication and presentation skills for customer engagement
- Solid knowledge of AWS data platform and services
- Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Redshift, Amazon SageMaker, Lambda, and ETL pipelines
- Experience in end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions in the Cloud
- Understanding of Data Science and Advanced Analytics with cloud deployment knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn about latest cloud technologies
Nice to Have:
- Experience leading and implementing large-scale cloud solutions
- Familiarity with networking concepts and DevOps principles
- Previous sales experience
- AWS-specific certifications
