The University of Missouri (MU) School of Medicine is growing and seeks emergency medicine physicians committed to our vision of excellence. Interested candidates who have completed a quality improvement fellowship or have at least three years of quality improvement experience may also be considered for a leadership role as Director of Quality Improvement.
With approximately 120,000 ER visits annually, over 50 faculty members in adult and pediatric emergency medicine, and 40 APPs across 8 clinical locations, University Hospital is a dynamic environment for emergency medicine. It is home to the Frank L. Mitchell Jr., MD, Trauma Center, central Missouri's only American College of Surgeons-verified Level I trauma center. The hospital is a certified Level I stroke and STEMI center and an active tertiary care referral center, providing physicians with a wide variety of patients to treat. We also look forward to the expansion of our pediatric emergency medicine team and facilities as well, with 16 pediatric beds becoming available in December 2024.

Compensation:
- Base salary + productivity incentive
- Hiring incentives also available, including student loan repayment assistance
Qualifications:
- MD/DO
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency medicine (ABEM or ABPEM)
- In possession of, or ability to secure an unencumbered MO License
- Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and career goals.
