In this Academic Support Coordinator role, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to Class Deans, engage with students, parents, faculty & staff and perform various office support functions, including:
Serving as an information resource, effectively engaging & assisting a diverse group of students
Acting as a liaison between students and faculty, parents and deans, and other offices such as Registrar, Financial Aid, Admissions, Institutional Research, and Residential Life
Collaborating with the Registrar’s office and faculty members
Maintaining calendars, scheduling & coordinating meetings and events
Greeting visitors and responding to correspondence via the telephone and in person; referring individuals to appropriate departments as necessary; providing assistance in resolving problems
Researching & summarizing data for regularly assigned or special projects
Compiling, tracking and preparing data and reports
Supporting special events, projects and initiatives (preparing announcements, invitations, etc
& managing catering)
Providing backup coverage for the front desk/reception area
Requirements
Associate’s degree or related administrative work experience
Bachelor’s degree desirable
Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and ability to learn new applications
Excellent interpersonal, time management, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working effectively with diverse populations
The Academic Support Coordinator opportunity is a full-time contract role with an immediate need, through end of November
The pay rate is $20.00 -$22.00 per hour depending on experience
