Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of broad communications strategy across multiple opportunities with high level pharmaceutical client in the oncology space
- Provide robust, cross-functional project management ensuring timely delivery of flawless materials and counsel to support (but not be limited to) corporate thought leadership, celebrity, influencer and patient engagement, disease awareness (unbranded) and branded communications and media relations. Should have deep understanding and experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare communications execution and strategic point of view
- Manage team of junior team members, motivating and teaching others while managing up to senior strategic leads on account
- Write and review communications materials such as:
- Corporate and scientific narratives, executive visibility, corporate and data milestone announcements and internal communications
- Unbranded disease awareness campaign assets including concepts, scripts, social posts, influencer and celebrity contracts and guidelines, press releases, backgrounders, key messages, internal communications/leadership notes and slides
- Review and oversee development of timelines, calendars, action plans, runs of show, agendas, call notes and overall account support materials
- Review and oversee media monitoring and results reporting
- Support budget management and monthly billing processes
- Act as day-to-day contact for core clients in assigned areas
- Regularly collaborate with partnering agencies, shared services, vendors, media and other third-parties
- Success factors: Must be able to work collaboratively and be a proactive communicator; it’s important that this person be a driver and self-motivated. Given the account moves at a fast pace with a large team, it is important that the individual has high attention to detail, organization and proactivity managing up and down
- A strong communicator, writer and strategist, the ideal candidate will be a high energy, collaborative individual who can manage teams while also rolling up their sleeves to work directly with clients to solve problems and implement programs
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in preferably in healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry, and a bachelor's degree
- Client relations expertise and familiarity with corporate thought leadership, branded and unbranded pharmaceutical product and disease awareness communications in the pharmaceutical space is required
- Able to juggle/prioritize multiple priorities
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun and supportive) environment
- Must have strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills, including experience with client communication
- Must be high energy, enthusiastic and have a passion for healthcare/life sciences
- Must be energized by being a member of a highly entrepreneurial work environment that rewards and fosters personal initiative and team work

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $140,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
