About the Role
The Account Executive will oversee the sales lifecycle and be responsible for driving success and ensuring maximum value for our clients. The Account Executive will drive growth of the sales function at Artisan by building and maintaining relationships with their accounts and identifying additional opportunities for service enhancements.
Artisan is a remote-first company - the Account Executive may be required to travel to client sites, networking opportunities and industry events. Up to 50% travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive acquisition of new business through active prospecting and proven sales behaviors (outbound campaigns, networking at events, etc.)
- Initiate and cultivate strategic relationships with prospective clients in targeted markets
- Work with technical presales team to build proposals and SOWs that deliver value to Artisan’s clients
- Leverage network in the AWS space for new sales and partnership opportunities
- Engage in thorough knowledge transfer with internal stakeholders to autonomously execute on sales vision and construction of a client pipeline
- Manage the entire sales cycle and own the relationship with the prospect from beginning to end
- Thoroughly understand, articulate and refine client value proposition to increase brand awareness and pipeline building
- Leverage existing sales assets and collateral and provide feedback to management on opportunities to enhance assets
- Report regularly to senior leadership on progress towards sales goals
- Represent the company at key industry and thought leadership events
- Stay informed about industry trends, AWS services, and competitive offerings
About The Candidate
You are an experienced sales professional with direct, practical experience in delivering solutions to globally known clients, maintaining communication channels to ensure excellence, innovation, and achievement of project goals. You have a proven track record of creating key business relationships and closing new business. You are able to build credibility quickly and are nimble in your ability to autonomously execute on sales strategy while also building the sales function for a scaling business. You must be an adept relationship builder and communicator. You are methodical in your process creation, but flexible enough to think and move on the fly. You recognize the impact that sales has on the bottom line and take that responsibility seriously.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in sales, with proven track record in AWS services sales. Experience selling directly for Amazon or an Amazon Partner for at least 3 years is required.
- Experience selling to enterprise customers
- Strong understanding of AWS services, cloud computing concepts, and related technologies.

This position requires constant operation of a computer, various software programs and other electronic productivity tools. This position requires prolonged observation of a computer screen.
