Job Function:
The Account Manager position requires the ability to manage the greater account team on assigned projects and accounts, ensuring the team develops a strong working rapport with day-to-day client contacts, delivers on and exceeds client needs and expectations, and ultimately promotes an environment of growth and sustainability with each client. This role has oversight of client projects and thus must demonstrate an ability to organize workload and workflow within the team. In addition, the Account Manager must consistently utilize agency tools and processes to make certain projects on-time, on-budget and in support of the information needs of agency management.
The Account Manager will be expected to oversee a multitude of tasks; including, but not limited to:
- Maintain oversight of all assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring that both client objectives and internal objectives are being delivered upon, working closely with the agency producers and from pitch to final delivery.
- Develop and maintain active and productive working relationships with client contacts.
- Earn and keep these clients' respect and confidence as someone they can trust to communicate information and relay ideas to in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
- Develop a well-versed knowledge of each client's business, including business model basics, individual key issues, and competitive situation.
- Assist in building and leading a cross-functional event team, providing guidance and support.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and collaboration.
- Identify and communicate project challenges in a timely manner, while brainstorming and identifying creative solutions to all problems and elevating to the Department Director as needed.
- Seamlessly layer into projects when necessary, with an ability to quickly disseminate a client brief or project plan.
- Collaborate and brainstorm across agency workstreams (strategy, creative teams, project managers, digital teams, and creative producers and accounts.)
- Possess the ability to read in between lines to predict and react to a client's needs, while consistently and proactively identifying ways to improve and service those needs and developing solutions to obstacles and budget constraints with client goals in mind.
- Build and maintain industry knowledge, relationships, and resources that can be leveraged to help drive projects forward.
- Keep a pulse on trends in advertising, entrepreneurship, technology, sport, music, entertainment, lifestyle, art, and culture.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of managing accounts either within an agency environment or for a brand.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with creative, strategy, and production teams.
- Excellent negotiating skills and an innate understanding of industry pricing.
- Creative problem-solver and highly conceptual abstract visual thinker.
- Confident self-motivator; proactive and willing to initiate action.
- Solutions-oriented thinker with a high-level ability to solve problems.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Outstanding relationship skills and a team-oriented, collaborative approach to work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment, across multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- A self-starter who can manage multiple tasks and projects at any given time.
- Highly competent in Google Suite, Slack, Box, Asana, and other project management platforms.
- A selfless team player who looks out for the well-being of others.
- Passion and love for sport, entertainment, tech, culture, and lifestyle.
- Ability to travel 20-30%
The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
