POSITION SUMMARY:
Tahoma Global Logistics (TGL) is seeking qualified candidates for our Account Manager position at our port facility located in Tacoma. Our Account Manager position will direct and oversee assigned Transload/Whs silo account(s) and provide vital support to their team, ensuring the safe and efficient handling and flow of freight throughout our property. This position is the primary contact for assigned account(s) including all customer service contact and issues: they will process all paperwork to include Purchase Orders, Work Orders, BOL's, inbound and outbound paperwork, inventory tracking, and preparation of month end invoicing. They will process and handle any account discrepancies, manage all inbound and outbound appointment scheduling, and maintain site security and visitor processing. Position will maintain and process all activity through our ECTS software system. In addition, this position is also responsible for keeping the customer share drive up to date and accurate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide professional, comprehensive customer service and provide solutions for any customer related supply chain needs
- Take strong initiative to quicky learn the customer requirements and the industry needs
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with the customers regarding their needs
- Monitor external customer and internal emails
- Process internal inventory including areas such as locating, tagging, auditing, and reconciliation reporting; accurately record and correspond with the customer regarding inventory, process any/all discrepancies, and notify correct department at our customer site(s)
- Input correct information into ETCS:
- Enter all applicable rates, billing, and invoicing information per yard reports and communications
- Set up and issue customer activity reports
- Track costs and expenses and prepare invoices for transloading customer and for input to TGL accounting
- Process production and logistics tasks such as inbound proof of delivery (POD), outbound bill of lading (BOL), transfers, delivery orders (DO), inbound/outbound packets, and picking/packing/scheduling outbound shipments with carriers
- Maintain effective communications and documentation processes with all coordinated internal departments; this includes preparing internal work orders and documentation for value added services and outside contractor services
- Assist with all assigned projects / tasks as needed, including yard inventories
- Contribute, when possible, for improvementsregarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost through continuous improvement methods identify potential areas of risk, and promptly share critical business information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout TGL
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
- Strictly enforce workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses; consistently wear and utilize all required PPE
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard TGL assets at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid WA driver's license and good driving record
- Excellent math skills and the ability to calculate profit margins, record labor and expenses, audit invoicing, and apply GL codes accordingly
- 5+ years similar customer service experience
- Previous inventory management experience
- Previous experience with work order processing
- Highly organized and works with high attention to detail
- Ability to make intelligent business decisions using effectual mix of analysis, experience, and judgment
- Ability to record, analyze, reconcile, and interpret business data; and enter data into business computer systems
- Ability to problem solve, effectively multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong PC skills including MS Office, specifically Excel
- Able to maintain a positive work attitude and demeanor
- Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
- Ability to, upon occasion, work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred
- BA/BS in related field
- Experience working with budgets, P&L statements, ROI's, determining expense to revenue ratios, and preparing scope and rates
- Experience with multi line phone systems
- Knowledge of supply chain and warehouse processes and procedures
