About the Job
This position will perform general accounting duties to support the tasks of the Human Services Department. This includes processing, recording, and summarizing financial information for both internal and external consumers. This position Supports and promotes the Mission, Vision and Guiding Principles of the Human Services Department. Performs in a manner consistent with the HSD Professional Standards and Commitment to My Co-Workers.
40% - Process Miscellaneous Payments & Donation Receipts
Receipt and account verification of revenue for debt repayments, drug/treatment court, Intoxicated Driver Program, Medical Records fees, Medical Assistance overpayment, program donations. Communicates with courthouse to maintain proper documentation.
40% - Protective Payee for Community Support Program
Organize monthly Social Security payments received to post to clients' accounts.
Receive and maintain client budgets from case managers.
Process checks for clients on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Maintain client monthly balances in Quick Books and send client activity reports monthly to case managers.
Respond to any Social Security Administration requests (audits and client expense reporting).
Respond to any case manager inquires of client balances.
Process Payee Fees and assist in reconciliation.
10% - Monitor Human Services Credit Card Usage
Match purchase requisitions to credit card statement.
Verify purchase requisitions are filled out correctly & completely.
Maintain master log of HSD credit cards.
Assign account numbers to statement lines as they correlate with the program area.
Work with program staff to ensure documentation is submitted on a timely basis.
Post Journal entries to program in accounting software.
Scan backup documentation into accounting software.
5% - Out of Home Placement Program Fiscal Assistance
Assist in the review of WiSACWIS deposits.
Review out-of-home placement for benefit assistance.
Review KIDS referrals for accuracy and completeness.
5% - Other Duties as assigned
