Accountant/Analyst - Arkansas Talent Group

We are seeking an Accountant/Analyst to join our client's team! This role combines core accounting responsibilities with financial analysis and budgeting duties. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation and analytical skills to support the company's financial operations and decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Duties:

• Assist in managing general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial record-keeping
• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures
• Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and regulations

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends and anomalies
• Assist in developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting
• Help prepare financial reports and dashboards for management
• Analyze variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts

Budgeting:

• Support the annual budgeting process by gathering data and preparing initial drafts
• Assist in developing and maintaining rolling forecasts
• Help monitor budget performance and prepare regular updates
• Identify potential budget variances and bring them to the attention of senior staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis roles
• Proficiency in Excel and basic financial modeling
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and basic financial analysis techniques
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
