NewPath Child & Family Solutions Accountant is part of the Accounting team, contributing in a variety of functions, including reporting, accounting entries and accrual calculations to A/P entry, purchasing, and reconciliation.

What You Will Be Doing
- Gathering data from multiple systems to use in reporting
- Enter basic General Ledger entries including payroll
- Monitor and manage automatic payment items in the accounting system
- Complete reports as needed in Excel, analyzing for accuracy and reasonableness
- Manage various funds and expenses
- Assist in purchasing supplies and facilities items
- Perform account reconciliations in a consistent and timely manner
- Account for mileage and overtime expenses, ensuring proper documenting and recording
- Process credit card entries accurately and efficiently. Includes coding correction and recording
- Analyze payroll records and assure accuracy
- Conduct billing report reviews against actual billed amounts and resolve discrepancies as required
- Maintain Cash Flow statement and other reports monthly
- Verify certain GL accounts monthly
- Learn and provide backup for most duties currently executed by the senior accountant and payables/ payroll. This includes financial closing processes, statement creation, and preparation of county budget sheets
- Oversee central purchasing for the agency
- Maintain and reconcile designated contributions and expenses for the agency
- Maintain various data charts and analyze/ reconcile as needed- reporting to directors of programs and CFO.
- Create and maintain process documents
- Small amount of scanning or filing in support of finance department
- Other jobs, responsibilities as assigned by Sr. Acct.
What You Bring To The Table
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, and 2 yrs. experience.
- Proficient in office productivity software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentations, and reporting.
- Proficient in Excel reporting, including basic formula writing and data manipulation.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, along with drug screen.
