Job Summary:
Lions Gate Duties
-Manage all aspects of cash receipts. This consists of scheduling all checks received daily, coding and entering into the general ledger, handling any research inquiries. Process Daily Remote Direct Deposit.
-Manage entrance fee refund check requests/detail.
-Collect credit card receipts and prepare journal entry to post to the general ledger.
-Provide backup for accounts payable.
-Reconcile biweekly bistro charges for deduction via payroll processing.
-Manage all petty cash, including cash from Bistro operations and Gift Shop. Make deposits at least monthly.
-Post independent living resident ancillary billing to PointClickCare.
-Reconcile nurse agency bills quarterly.
-Reconcile receivables on a monthly basis.
-Reconcile balance sheet recs monthly/quarterly. As time permits, expand role in reconciling Lions Gate’s balance sheet accounts and cross train payroll processing.
-Reconcile MetLaw invoices
-Assist with all audits.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
General Expectations
-Adheres to company and departmental personal appearance and dress code policy. Reports to work in a clean, neat and professional appearance.
-Wears identification at all times while on duty or representing Lions Gate at functions.
-Demonstrates dependability and punctuality by reporting to work on time as scheduled.
-Complies with all Lions Gate policies regarding ethical business practices as outlined in the Facility’s Corporate Compliance Plan.
-Maintains and ensures compliance with current requirements, including all State and Federal regulations, including OSHA safety protocol and standards.
-Completes annual mandatory education requirements (Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, in-service, etc.)
-Assumes accountability for policies and procedures of Lions Gate as contained in the Employee Handbook.
-Maintains a positive manner.
-Follows the resident rights/abuse policies and procedures and follows the established incident reporting procedures.
-Maintains and ensures resident and facility information as confidential material at all times.
-Works at maintaining a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with departments, staff, co-workers and management.
-Represents Lions Gate in a positive and professional manner at all times.
-Maintains the dietary laws for maintaining a Kosher environment.
-Attends departmental meetings and in-services as scheduled.
-Accepts assignments in a cooperative and positive manner.
-Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
-Performs all duties of job to assure resident and personal safety and the protection of co-workers and facility property.
Language Skils:
-Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors in accounting; knowledge of Windows suite; proficient in Microsoft Excel; exceptional organizational skills; work with minimal supervision; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; communicate effectively with department heads, donors, and vendors.
