About the Job
HCRC is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to perform a variety of accounting functions and financial analyses across accounts, projects, and corporate levels. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role includes supporting general ledger entries, assisting with the billing process, and providing accounts payable support. The Accountant will also assist in executing departmental functions and handle additional tasks as assigned by the Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Billing.
- Process incoming AP invoices from suppliers, vendors, subcontractors.
- Maintain organized PDF files for all suppliers, vendors, and similar entities.
- Review and allocate expense reports across cost pools, accounts, and projects.
- Assist with accounts receivable, invoice preparation, and month-end close processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with applicable standards.
- Demonstrate strong judgment, attention to detail, and effective written and oral communication skills.
- U.S. Work Authorization and Security Clearance Eligibility required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in using computers
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with government contracting and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF).
- Familiarity with foreign currency translation and transactions.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
